About Jessica Demcsak

Jessica Demcsak is a working artist who currently exhibits in the New York, New Jersey Pennsylvania area.  She received her BFA in Painting from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, an MA in Arts Education from Kean University and an MFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She was awarded the Geraldine R. Dodge Grant for Artist Educators and was part of NJ Monthly Magazine in its Top 30 Under 30 article. Demcsak was recently featured in Fresh Paint Magazine Issue #11. She most recently exhibited her work in a group show titled Nature at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster New Jersey.

Jessica Demcsak visits and documents architecture in various cities such as New Orleans, Philadelphia, Asbury Park, and Venice, Italy to name a few. She incorporates these photographs into sculptural paintings on wood. Her current work explores the ideas of home and shelter in the midst of escalating natural disasters.
